Starlings are common around here but this is
the first time I've had an opportunity to photograph them up close and view their
speckled colouring.
They fly in, feed for a
few minutes and then
leave again.
Research indicated that
the starling's diet was
more varied than just
seeds, so I made and
hung a suet feeder. I
was rewarded with the
photo at right a couple of days later.
