With marble halls and chandeliers,
But gives a heart — into the hand
Of one who'll always hold it dear.
Love giveth not with selfish thought
Of earthly gain; for love's a gift --
And love that's true can not be bought
Yet without love the heart's bereft.
Love giveth not false promises
Of roads ahead without a care;
But love can bring great happiness
And joy untold when it is shared.
Love giveth not which eyes can see
Yet giveth much to you and me.
