The Excitement of Mutant X
eXcellent, eXceptional, eXciting, eXhilarating, eXquisite, eXtraordinary and eXtravagant
are all 'X' words – words that can be used to describe Mutant X.
The very first time I saw Mutant X advertised as a new series, ‘coming this fall’, it caught my attention. Each time I saw the promo, I was more determined to watch it – and I did! Before I was halfway through the series premiere, Mutant X was already established in my mind as a regular weekly habit. I never missed an episode – even if I had to videotape it and watch it later in the night – and have even watched reruns during the summer.
It’s not easy, however, to do a website tribute to this talented group. The official Mutant X site provides cast biographies as well as a detailed synopsis, video clips and photos of each episode. Fan fiction isn’t really my style – though it hasn’t entirely been ruled out yet – and there’s already a fair amount of it out there. To meet my own personal standards, my mutant X tribute therefore had to be original.
What you will find here will be my personal impressions of the show’s main characters and maybe a few guest stars. Poetry will be included when the inspiration hits me – no electrical charges necessary, please Brennan. I get a shock whenever I touch metal and that’s quite enough, thank you. Just be patient and I’ll come up with something – I always do.
